Lightweight long-sleeved shirts and trousers: protection against the sun, bugs and thorny vegetation
Waterproof and breathable rain jacket and pants: essential for sudden rain showers
Sturdy hiking boots: provide good ankle support and traction for trekking
Gaiters: protect against mud, water, and insects while trekking through forests
Hiking gloves: protect against thick vegetation
Lightweight, quick-drying socks: preferably moisture-wicking for comfort
Brimmed hat: sun protection for the face and neck
Insulating layer: fleece or down jacket for cool mornings and evenings

High-quality backpack: with waterproof cover for carrying essentials during treks
Walking stick and water bottles will be provided

Camera is not necessary to enjoy this experience. If you’d like to rent camera or lenses please notify in advance.
Camera gear: DSLR or mirrorless camera with suitable lenses from 14mm (for landscape), up to 200mm for fauna
Tripod: While unnecessary for forest treks, tripods or monopods can be useful for shoebill stork excursion, but not required
Lens cleaning kit: Due to potential humidity within the forest, a cleaning cloth will be useful

This is a low difficulty experience. While there is hiking in order to encounter the chimpanzees, it is done at a manageable pace, with guides who will support you if any help required with gear / bags.

This is a specialized group trip aimed at photographers and nature enthusiasts alike, offering a rich itinerary that includes safaris, chimpanzee trekking and swamp excursion. The trip is suitable for all, regardless of photography skill level, and optional workshops will be provided throughout the tour for those interested.
